What do you do when timeframes give conflicting signals?

Conflicting signals happen when the daily trends up while H4 trends down. Traders either wait for alignment, trade the higher timeframe bias, or skip the setup entirely. Forcing trades during conflict leads to losses. What do you do when timeframes conflict?
