How do you evaluate the validity of a Fair Value Gap when it is accompanied by high volume tick spikes on MetaTrader 5?

Does a heavy tick volume spike during gap creation increase your setup confidence, or do you treat volumetric surges near POIs as potential news/manipulation spikes?
