Indicators or Heatmaps?

Are custom TradingView indicators useless compared to raw order book heatmaps?

Retail traders spend hundreds of dollars on custom buy/sell signal indicators that just repaint past moving averages. Meanwhile, institutional traders look at order book heatmaps to see where real stop-loss clusters sit. Are traditional technical indicators just a distraction from actual market depth?
