What does the Accumulation/Distribution indicator actually measure?

Accumulation/Distribution measures buying and selling pressure by weighting volume based on where price closes within its range. Rising readings signal accumulation, and falling readings signal distribution. Divergence from price warns of reversals. What does A/D measure in your trading?
