Most experienced traders would choose the account with rules that fit their strategy over a larger account size every single time. A massive headline number means nothing if strict daily loss limits or rigid trailing drawdowns force you out of your trades prematurely.
Account size alone never tells the whole story. Risk management and position sizing must always align with the prop firm's parameters, such as maximum drawdown type (static versus trailing) and news rules. If your strategy requires room to breathe during normal market pullbacks, a smaller account with forgiving rules gives you a much higher statistical chance of passing and staying funded.
