STOP JUMPING FROM ONE STRATEGY TO ANOTHER

Israel Godwin

Every week, there's a new model someone claims will change your trading forever.

But if you keep switching strategies, you'll never gather enough useful information about any of them.

Choose one model, learn its rules, practise it and give yourself time to understand its strengths and weaknesses.

Spot on. Strategy hopping is one of the fastest ways to blow a evaluation account. When you jump between models, you never gather enough sample data to understand win rates, drawdowns, or market conditions where your edge actually works.

In prop firm trading, consistency is everything. Daily loss limits and trailing drawdowns leave zero room for guesswork. If you are constantly changing your approach, you will violate risk parameters before you even figure out your rules.

Stick to one setup, log your trades, and give it at least a hundred samples. How do you usually decide when a strategy has failed versus when it just needs minor tweaks?
