Why I Review Losing Trades
A losing trade can teach you something—but only if you review it properly.
After a loss, I want to separate two questions.
First: Was the decision correct according to my strategy?
Second: Was the outcome simply unfavorable?
A well-planned trade can lose because markets are uncertain. A poorly planned trade can occasionally make money.
If I judge every decision only by profit or loss, I risk learning the wrong lesson.
I review my entry, market context, order flow evidence, stop placement, and execution.
The goal isn't to eliminate every loss. It's to identify preventable mistakes and determine whether the strategy performs as expected over a meaningful sample.
