Why Low-Volume Nodes Matter
Low-volume nodes can help explain how price moves through a market profile.
A low-volume node, or LVN, is an area with relatively little volume in a volume profile compared with nearby prices.
These areas can represent prices where the market spent less time or attracted less trading activity during the period measured.
Some traders watch LVNs because price may move through them quickly or reject them when revisiting the area.
But neither outcome is guaranteed.
I first identify the broader structure, then observe whether price moves easily through the zone or finds acceptance there.
A profile level is useful as context. The market's actual reaction determines how I interpret it.
