The Problem With Too Much DOM Information
The DOM can provide valuable information, but it can also overwhelm you.
A busy order book displays constantly changing quantities, prices, and liquidity.
For a beginner, every increase or decrease can look like an important signal.
The danger is reacting to noise instead of following a defined process.
I prefer to focus on a few questions:
Where is price relative to an important level?
Is displayed liquidity changing significantly?
Are orders actually being executed?
What happens to price when those executions occur?
I don't need to interpret every number on the screen.
A trading tool should improve decision-making, not create a reason to react to every market fluctuation.
