Liquidity Replenishment

Sachin Yadav

What happens when liquidity keeps appearing at the same price?

Imagine NQ approaches a resistance level. Buyers repeatedly execute against the resting sell orders, but fresh sell liquidity appears around the same price.

This behavior is often described as liquidity replenishment.

It may indicate that selling interest is being maintained or replenished as trades occur.

But there's an important distinction: replenishment alone doesn't guarantee that price will reverse. Aggressive buyers may eventually consume the available liquidity and push through the level.

I would watch whether price makes progress, whether the liquidity persists, and what happens after the level is tested repeatedly.

The real question isn't simply how much liquidity appears. It's whether that liquidity can actually limit price movement.
