What Is a Delta Flip?
A delta flip can help you study changing market participation.
Traders commonly use the term delta flip when delta changes from positive to negative or vice versa over a selected period or sequence of observations.
For example, buying pressure may dominate during an early NQ rally, but delta later turns negative as aggressive selling increases.
This could indicate a shift in aggressive participation.
However, a delta flip does not automatically confirm a trend reversal.
I would compare it with price structure, the location of the move, and whether price is making meaningful progress in the new direction.
Delta is one piece of evidence. The broader market context determines how useful that evidence may be.
