Why Screenshots Improve Trade Reviews
One screenshot before entry can make your trading journal much more useful.
After a trade closes, it's easy to remember only the parts that support your decision.
A screenshot taken before entry preserves the information you actually had at the time.
For an order flow trade, I would try to capture:
The relevant market structure.
The level being traded.
The footprint or DOM evidence.
The planned entry and stop.
The reason for taking the trade.
Then compare it with a screenshot after the trade closes.
Did the market behave as expected? Did you follow the plan? Did you interpret the evidence correctly?
This creates a more objective review process and helps separate a sound decision from a lucky outcome.
