The Myth of the Perfect Institutional Entry

Sachin Yadav

There is no single price where all institutions want to enter.

Online trading discussions sometimes make it sound as though institutions have one secret entry level that retail traders can identify using a footprint chart.

In reality, institutions have different objectives, time horizons, risk limits, and execution requirements.

One participant may be buying for investment purposes while another is selling futures to hedge an existing position.

Even participants with similar directional views may execute at different prices.

Instead of searching for a mythical institutional entry, I prefer to identify meaningful market levels and study how price behaves there.

The objective is to build a repeatable decision-making process, not to pretend that every market move has one hidden explanation.
