Using Volume Profile to Find Trade Locations
Volume profile helps me organize where trading activity occurred.
A volume profile displays traded volume across price levels for a selected period.
I pay particular attention to the Point of Control, Value Area High, Value Area Low, and prominent high- and low-volume areas.
These references can help me identify where price may encounter previous trading activity.
But I don't assume that every profile level will produce a reversal.
If NQ approaches a high-volume area, I want to observe whether price consolidates, rejects the area, or moves through it.
The profile provides context for my trading plan.
The actual entry still requires a defined setup, a clear invalidation point, and appropriate risk.
