Stacked Imbalances at a Key Level
Stacked imbalances become more interesting when they appear at a meaningful level.
Several consecutive footprint price levels showing strong buying or selling imbalances can indicate concentrated aggressive activity.
But I don't want to trade the pattern without considering its location.
Suppose NQ breaks above a range with stacked buying imbalances and continues to hold above the breakout area.
That behavior may support a continuation hypothesis.
Now imagine similar buying activity appears at resistance but price cannot move higher.
The interpretation may be different.
The imbalance is only one part of the picture.
I combine location, price progress, market structure, and risk management before deciding whether a setup meets my rules.
