Trading With a Daily Loss Limit
A daily loss limit isn't a sign of weakness. It's a boundary.
When losses accumulate, it becomes harder to make objective decisions.
You may start taking lower-quality setups or increasing risk because you want to recover the day's losses.
A predefined daily loss limit helps prevent that spiral.
Before the session begins, I want to know how much I'm prepared to lose and under what conditions I'll stop trading.
The exact limit should reflect my strategy, account size, and applicable account rules.
Once the limit is reached, the decision has already been made.
I don't need to debate it while I'm frustrated.
Protecting capital includes knowing when the session is over.
