The Difference Between Patience and Fear
Not every skipped trade is discipline. Sometimes it's fear.
Suppose NQ reaches your planned level, your setup forms, and every entry condition is satisfied.
You still hesitate because your last two trades were losers.
That may not be a problem with the setup. It may be a confidence issue.
Now consider a different situation: price reaches the level, but the required confirmation never appears.
Waiting in that case is discipline.
The solution is to define your rules clearly enough that you can distinguish a valid setup from an incomplete one.
You don't need to take every trade.
But when a trade meets your tested criteria, your decision should come from your process rather than the emotions left over from previous results.
