Why Overtrading Happens

Sachin Yadav

Sometimes the biggest problem is not a bad strategy. It's taking too many trades.

You begin the session with a clear plan.

Then you miss an entry, take a small loss, and start looking for opportunities everywhere.

Every minor imbalance becomes interesting. Every price movement looks tradable.

By the end of the session, you have taken several trades that were never part of your original strategy.

I prefer to define the conditions that justify an entry before trading begins.

If those conditions aren't present, I don't need to participate.

Trading less is not automatically better, but every trade should have a clear reason to exist.

Activity is not the same as progress.
