Why Sleep and Fatigue Matter in Trading
Your trading decisions can suffer when you're exhausted.
Futures markets can move quickly, and order flow analysis requires attention to detail.
When you're tired, it may become harder to wait patiently, recognize mistakes, or follow a predefined risk plan.
You might enter impulsively, overlook an important level, or continue trading when your concentration has deteriorated.
I treat preparation as more than checking the charts.
It also means considering whether I'm alert enough to make decisions responsibly.
If fatigue is affecting my judgment, reducing activity or skipping the session may be the better choice.
Trading opportunities will return.
Protecting your ability to make clear decisions is more important than forcing yourself to trade every session.
