The Importance of a Pre-Market Routine
A consistent trading day begins before the first entry.
Before trading NQ, I want to prepare a few things.
First, identify important reference levels, such as the previous session's high and low.
Second, understand whether the market is trending, ranging, or approaching a major event.
Third, define which setups I'm prepared to trade.
Finally, establish my risk limits and conditions for stopping.
This preparation reduces the temptation to improvise every decision once the market becomes active.
A routine won't guarantee a profitable session.
Its purpose is to create a repeatable starting point, allowing me to focus on market behavior rather than making basic decisions under pressure.
