What Does It Mean When Price Rejects a Level?
Price reaches a resistance area, trades above it briefly, and then falls back below.
That can be a sign of rejection, especially if the market struggles to regain the level.
But a wick alone doesn't tell the entire story.
I look at what happens after the rejection. Does selling produce further downside movement? Does price reclaim resistance? Does the market continue rotating inside the previous range?
A level becomes more useful when I study the reaction around it rather than treating it as a guaranteed turning point.
