Why I Pay Attention to Failed Continuation
A market breaks above resistance, but the expected continuation never arrives.
Price stalls, returns toward the breakout area, and struggles to make another high.
That failure to continue can be worth studying.
It may indicate that buyers are no longer producing the same results, but I still need confirmation before considering a short.
I watch whether price loses the breakout level and whether selling begins to create meaningful downside progress.
Sometimes the most useful information comes from what the market fails to do.
