Why I Keep My Trading Journal Simple
A trading journal doesn't need dozens of complicated fields to be useful.
I can start with the setup, entry, stop, target, position size, result, screenshot, and whether I followed my rules.
Then I add a short note explaining what I learned.
The important part is consistency. A simple journal that I maintain is more useful than a complex template I abandon after three days.
Over time, the records can help reveal repeated mistakes, strong conditions, and areas that deserve more testing.
