Why I Review My Trading Before Looking at the Profit
When I review a trade, I try to examine the decisions before focusing on the final P&L.
Was the setup valid? Did I enter at the planned location? Was the stop appropriate? Did I follow my exit rules?
Only after reviewing those questions do I evaluate the financial outcome.
This prevents a winning trade from hiding mistakes and a losing trade from unfairly condemning a good process.
The result matters, but the decision-making process tells me what I can improve.
