Why I Set a Maximum Number of Trades
One way to control overtrading is to define a maximum number of trades before the session begins.
This isn't a universal rule, and the right limit depends on the strategy.
The purpose is to stop me from treating every small price movement as an opportunity.
If I've already taken my planned setups, I become more selective about whether another trade genuinely meets my criteria.
A trade limit doesn't create an edge by itself.
It can, however, help enforce discipline and reduce impulsive decisions.
