How I Decide Whether a Trading Mistake Needs a Rule Change
One mistake doesn't always mean my strategy needs a new rule.
Sometimes I made an execution error. Sometimes the setup was valid but produced a normal loss. Other times, the same problem keeps appearing.
I record the mistake, look for repeated patterns, and review the evidence before making changes.
If I change my rules after every bad outcome, the strategy becomes inconsistent.
I want to fix genuine weaknesses without overreacting to randomness.
A good review process distinguishes a repeatable problem from a single disappointing result.
