Pivot Points: Map Potential Intraday Reference Levels
Pivot points calculate potential reference levels from previous-period prices, commonly the high, low, and close.
Traders often monitor the central pivot and support or resistance levels around it.
These levels can help organize an intraday plan, particularly when price approaches them during an active session.
But pivot points don't guarantee a reaction.
I observe whether price rejects a level, accepts beyond it, or moves through without much resistance.
A calculated level becomes useful when combined with the actual behavior of the market.
