The Trade I Didn't Take Was Still a Lesson
Today, I watched a setup develop and decided not to enter because it didn't meet all my criteria.
Price moved in the expected direction afterward.
Was skipping it a mistake?
Not necessarily.
A decision should be judged by the information available at the time, not only by what happened afterward.
If I follow my rules and miss a profitable move, I can accept that. If I ignore my rules and get lucky, that's a different lesson.
The goal is consistency, not perfect hindsight.
