"It will come back."

Those four words can turn a planned loss into an uncontrolled position.

Price moves against the trade, but instead of reassessing the setup, I start hoping for a recovery.

Sometimes it does come back. That doesn't make the decision safe.

Before entering, I need to know what invalidates my idea and how much I'm willing to risk.

Hope can be an emotion. It should never be my exit strategy.
