A Trading Strategy Needs a Definition of No Trade
Most traders spend time defining when to enter.
Fewer spend enough time defining when not to trade.
What if the market is stuck in a narrow range? What if price is far from the planned entry? What if an important announcement is approaching?
These situations deserve predefined rules too.
A strategy becomes more complete when it explains both the conditions that create an opportunity and the conditions that invalidate one.
Sometimes the best setup is the one you deliberately avoid.
