The Problem With Trading Someone Else's Conviction

Sachin Yadav

Someone says NQ is about to rally. Another trader expects a sharp sell-off.

Both sound confident.

But their conviction doesn't tell me whether either trade fits my plan.

I need my own criteria for identifying an opportunity, defining risk, and deciding when the idea is wrong.

Other opinions can offer perspectives, but they shouldn't replace independent analysis.

The moment I enter because someone else sounds certain, I'm taking risk without fully owning the decision.
