Why a Flat Position Can Be a Powerful Decision

Being flat means having no open position.

Sometimes that is the most appropriate position to hold.

Maybe price is between important levels. Maybe volatility is unpredictable. Maybe the available setups don't offer enough reward relative to the risk.

I don't need a market opinion to justify staying flat.

I need a reason to take risk.

If that reason isn't present, keeping my capital uncommitted is a legitimate trading decision.
