A trader can technically be profitable using only a phone, but a computer is generally essential for serious, consistent performance. While mobile apps let you monitor open positions and execute quick market orders on the go, analyzing multi-timeframe charts, drawing precise support and resistance levels, and managing complex risk parameters are significantly harder on a small screen.

When trading with a prop firm, precision is everything. Missing a tight daily loss limit or failing to spot a high-impact news event because of a clumsy mobile interface can easily cost you an evaluation. Most successful funded traders use a computer for deep analysis and execution, leaving the phone strictly for monitoring.
