Why I Review the Trades That Almost Worked

Some trades come close to reaching the target but reverse before getting there.

Others nearly trigger an entry and then move away without filling.

These situations are frustrating, but they can provide useful information.

I review whether the entry, target, and invalidation rules were appropriate and whether the setup still matched my criteria.

I don't change the rules just because a trade missed the target by one tick.

I look for repeated evidence before deciding whether an adjustment is justified.
