Why I Don't Judge My Strategy by One Week

Sachin Yadav

A profitable week can create unrealistic confidence. A losing week can make a strategy look completely broken.

Neither conclusion is necessarily justified by such a short period.

I review results across a meaningful sample of trades and account for market conditions, fees, and execution.

I also check whether I've been following the same rules consistently.

The goal is to understand the strategy's behavior, not react emotionally to the latest result.

Evidence needs context and enough observations to be useful.
