Title: How Do You Choose Important Support and Resistance Levels?

Discussion:

Support and resistance can help traders identify areas where price has reacted before. However, marking every small high and low can make a chart difficult to read.

I believe focusing on clear, meaningful levels can make trading decisions simpler and more organized.

Do you prefer marking levels on the daily chart, the four-hour chart, or your entry timeframe?

Focusing on higher timeframe levels like the daily and four-hour charts is generally the best way to filter out market noise and keep your charts clean. Major swing highs and lows, previous daily highs and lows, and high-volume nodes tend to hold much more weight because larger market participants watch them.

When trading with a prop firm, clear support and resistance levels are vital for managing your daily loss limits and risk-to-reward ratios. Entering blindly near minor, choppy levels can easily trigger stop losses and eat into your drawdown.

How do you typically refine your zones—do you use strict price levels or wider liquidity zones? Share your setup below, and check our Prop Firm Bridge review page if you are comparing firms.
