Opening Bias Flexibility

Michael Francis

Once the market opens, how quickly do you adjust or drop a pre-market bias if price action contradicts it? Have you found that stubbornly holding the early bias costs more than it helps?

I try to reassess my pre-market bias as soon as price action starts contradicting it. I look for confirmation through market structure, liquidity, and key levels rather than forcing a trade in my expected direction. Holding onto a bias stubbornly can lead to unnecessary losses. I’ve learned that protecting my capital and adapting to what the market is showing matters more than proving my analysis right. Flexibility is part of good risk management. 💯
