I prefer to reduce exposure heading into the weekend by closing trades that no longer justify the risk and holding only high-conviction setups that still meet my plan. I avoid tightening stops randomly just to feel safer, since that can lead to premature exits. My rule is to assess the risk, potential weekend gaps, and account limits before deciding. Capital preservation comes first; no trade is worth sacrificing peace of mind or breaking my risk rules.
