Breakout Prop Perps Review

Introduction

Code BRIDGE at Breakout Prop Perps β€” 5% off. Last verified working on Oct 21, 2026: tested by hand by Akash Mane, founder of Prop Firm Bridge, at the Breakout Prop Perps checkout.

Breakout Prop Perps, checked on 21 Oct 2026: this page covers only Breakout's perpetual futures side: what you actually trade, where the prices come from, how holding costs work and which evaluations run on perps. For the company, its history and the full crypto review, see the Full Breakout Prop crypto review β†’.

Breakout, which is part of Kraken, runs perpetual markets priced from Hyperliquid inside its own Breakout terminal, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Besides crypto, you can trade perps on the Nasdaq 100 (XYZ100), the S&P 500 (SP500), silver and oil. These are perpetual contracts: there is no expiry and no quarterly roll, and they are not CME futures and not CFDs. All trading happens in a simulated account.

Prop Firm Bridge rates Breakout 91 / 100, PFB Verified, the same score as its main review. Traders can use the exclusive code BRIDGE for 5% off the Classic, Pro and Turbo evaluations.

Our Take

Our take on Breakout's perps

Breakout is the cleanest way to trade Hyperliquid-priced perps in a prop account: one terminal, simple rules and fast USDC payouts. The non-crypto perps (Nasdaq, S&P, silver, oil) make it more than a crypto firm, and Spark gives index traders a CME-free alternative.

Pros

  • Hyperliquid pricing on crypto, index and commodity perps, 24/7.
  • No time limit, no minimum days, no consistency rule.
  • Static drawdown on Classic, Pro and Turbo.
  • On-demand USDC payouts with no waiting period.
  • Fixed, published holding fee instead of a floating funding rate.

Cons

  • Low crypto leverage (5x BTC/ETH, 2x others) on the standard evaluations.
  • Holding fee of 0.033% a day adds up on long swing trades.
  • Spark uses a trailing drawdown on equity, which is easy to underestimate.
  • No partial fills on limit orders.

In-Depth Review & Analysis

What you trade: Hyperliquid perps, not futures or CFDs

A perpetual future ("perp") is a contract with no expiry date. At Breakout, the price of each perp comes from Hyperliquid, the on-chain exchange built for perpetual trading, and you place orders in the Breakout terminal. Breakout's team confirmed to us in writing on 18 Oct 2026 that there is no NQ, ES, SI or CL contract and no routing to CME, NinjaTrader or an outside broker. You are trading the perp version of the market, in a prop-account format.

That matters for index traders. A Nasdaq 100 perp tracks the index, but it is open on weekends, has no contract months and its cost of holding comes from a financing fee instead of a roll. If you come from CME futures, size your trades by notional value, not by "contracts".

Markets

  • Crypto perps: Bitcoin, Ether and a long list of altcoins.
  • Index perps: Nasdaq 100 (XYZ100) and S&P 500 (SP500).
  • Commodity perps: silver and WTI crude oil.

Every market is listed with its own leverage and fees on Breakout's symbols page. Breakout also caps total account exposure at $2,000,000 notional.

Leverage

On the Classic, Pro and Turbo evaluations, crypto leverage is 5x on BTC and ETH and 2x on other coins. Index and commodity perps carry their own maximum leverage per symbol, and the Spark account (below) goes up to 40x. Low leverage on altcoins is a feature, not a bug: it keeps one bad wick from ending the account.

Funding and holding costs

On a real perp exchange, longs and shorts pay each other a funding rate that changes every hour. Breakout does not pass that floating rate through. Instead it charges its own fixed holding fee. On crypto, the program rules list 0.04% commission per side and a holding (swap) fee of 0.033% per open position per day, taken in six parts, once every four hours. Index and commodity perps have their own, lower trading and financing fees, shown per market on the symbols page. Fees you pay are listed in the terminal under My Account β†’ Cash Movements.

A worked example: a $20,000 BTC position held for one full day costs about $6.60 in holding fees, plus $8 in commission to open and $8 to close.

Liquidation and the loss limits

With 2x to 5x leverage on the standard evaluations, your daily loss limit or maximum drawdown is normally reached long before any exchange-style liquidation level. The account's limits are what you need to watch, and they are shown live in the terminal's portfolio panel. A breach closes all positions and ends the account. Orders are not partly filled: a limit order that cannot be filled in full at its price is not filled at all.

The four perps evaluations

  • 1-Step Classic ($5K to $100K): 10% target, 3% daily loss, 6% static maximum drawdown.
  • 1-Step Pro ($5K to $200K): 12% target, 3% daily loss, 5% static maximum drawdown.
  • 1-Step Turbo ($5K to $200K): 9% target, 3% daily loss, 3% static maximum drawdown.
  • Spark ($50K, made for Nasdaq and S&P traders): $3,000 target, $1,500 trailing drawdown, no daily loss limit, up to 40x.

None of them has a time limit, a minimum number of trading days or a consistency rule, and the funded account keeps the same rules.

Spark: the index trader's account

Spark is a $50,000 evaluation for a one-time $139 fee and $0 activation. It trades Hyperliquid index products instead of CME futures, so contract equivalents change with the market price, and spread, book impact and four-hourly financing apply. The drawdown sits $1,500 below the highest closed balance ever reached and is checked against equity, so open losses count. It is recalculated daily at the 00:30 UTC reset. After passing, the same drawdown, leverage and size carry into the funded account.

Payouts

Funded payouts can be requested on demand, 24/7, after funded approval, and are paid in USDC (ERC-20). The split is 80%, with an optional 90% upgrade at checkout. There are no payout waiting periods and no qualifying days.

Final Verdict

Breakout Prop Perps: 91 / 100, PFB Verified. If you want to trade perpetual futures in a prop account, Breakout is the strongest option we cover: real Hyperliquid prices, a simple rulebook and on-demand USDC payouts. Pick Classic or Pro for crypto swing trading, Turbo if you want the cheapest entry and can live with a 3% limit, and Spark if you trade the Nasdaq or S&P. Use code BRIDGE for 5% off Classic, Pro and Turbo.
