An open position can stay on my mind for hours if I keep thinking about possible outcomes or checking the charts. What helps me detach is setting my stop-loss and take-profit in advance, confirming my risk is acceptable, and writing down the trade plan before stepping away. I also remind myself that once the trade is placed, I don’t need to control every price movement. My evening belongs to me, not the market.
