How do you respond when another trader criticises your strategy?

Criticism can reveal weaknesses that weren't obvious, but not every disagreement is supported by evidence. Defending a strategy automatically can be just as unhelpful as abandoning it after one negative comment. How do you decide whether criticism deserves a serious review or can reasonably be dismissed?
