At HyroTrader you pay three kinds of cost: the one-time challenge price, trading fees on every order, and the cost of mistakes against the risk rules. On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes trading fees are Bybit's VIP 0 rates for USDT perpetuals, 0.0200% maker and 0.0550% taker, so a $10,000 market-order round trip costs $11.00 and a $50,000 one costs $55.00. Leverage goes up to 100x on Bybit perps and 150x on BTC and ETH via BloFin, but a balance cap limits how big you can really go.
Key takeaways
- Challenge list prices run from $69 ($5K One-Step) to $1,299 ($200K One-Step), and from $59 to $969 on Two-Step.
- Trading fees on the Bybit and Tealstreet routes: 0.0200% maker, 0.0550% taker. A taker round trip costs 0.11% of the position's notional value.
- The Hyro Platform applies realistic fees and slippage on live Bybit data.
- Leverage: up to 100x on Bybit USDT perps (varies by pair), up to 150x on BTC and ETH on BloFin. But combined open-position value cannot exceed your initial balance.
- Markets: about 700 USDT perpetual pairs. No spot, USDC perps, COIN-M futures, options or EUR/USD.
- Payouts carry no HyroTrader payout fee, with a $100 minimum after the split.
Cost 1: the challenge price
HyroTrader sells two evaluation programs. These are the list prices on HyroTrader's site in October 2026:
| Account size | One-Step | Two-Step |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $69 | $59 |
| $10,000 | $129 | $119 |
| $25,000 | $299 | $249 |
| $50,000 | $499 | $379 |
| $100,000 | $749 | $579 |
| $200,000 | $1,299 | $969 |
Two-Step is always cheaper because you must pass twice: a 10% target, then a 5% target. One-Step asks for a single 10% target but gives you tighter limits: 4% daily drawdown and 6% maximum drawdown, against 5% daily loss and 10% maximum loss on Two-Step. If you want a static daily drawdown instead of the Standard model, the Swing option is a paid upgrade at checkout.
How you can pay for a challenge
HyroTrader accepts credit card and a long list of crypto: BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, DOGE, LTC, DAI, BCH, APE and SHIB, plus Polygon payments in MATIC, USDC and ETH. If you pay in crypto, check the network carefully before you send. A transfer on the wrong network is your problem, not the firm's.
Cost 2: trading fees, with real examples
On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes, HyroTrader uses Bybit's VIP 0 fees for USDT perpetuals:
- Maker (a limit order that rests on the book): 0.0200% of notional.
- Taker (a market order, or a limit order that fills at once): 0.0550% of notional.
Notional is the full position value, not your margin. A $10,000 position on 10x leverage uses $1,000 of margin but pays fees on $10,000.
Example 1: a $10,000 notional round trip
| Order types | Entry fee | Exit fee | Round trip | Break-even move |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taker in, taker out | $5.50 | $5.50 | $11.00 | 0.11% |
| Maker in, taker out | $2.00 | $5.50 | $7.50 | 0.075% |
| Maker in, maker out | $2.00 | $2.00 | $4.00 | 0.04% |
The break-even move is how far price must travel in your favour just to pay the fees. With BTC that is a small move, but on a scalp aiming for 0.3% the taker fees eat more than a third of the gross win.
Example 2: a $50,000 notional round trip
| Order types | Entry fee | Exit fee | Round trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taker in, taker out | $27.50 | $27.50 | $55.00 |
| Maker in, taker out | $10.00 | $27.50 | $37.50 |
| Maker in, maker out | $10.00 | $10.00 | $20.00 |
Now put that against a $50,000 One-Step account. The profit target is 10%, or $5,000. Twenty taker round trips at full size cost $1,100, which is 22% of the whole target spent on fees. The same twenty trades with maker orders on both sides cost $400, or 8% of the target. Over a challenge, order type can decide whether you pass.
Fees against the daily drawdown
Fees also count against your daily room. On a $50,000 One-Step account the daily drawdown is 4%, or $2,000. Ten taker round trips at $50,000 notional cost $550 in a day. That is more than a quarter of the daily limit used before a single trade goes wrong. Swing traders rarely feel this. Scalpers feel it every session.
What about the Hyro Platform and BloFin?
The Hyro Platform runs on live Bybit data and applies realistic fees and slippage to your simulated orders. Our records do not hold a separate maker and taker table for the Hyro Platform or for the BloFin route, so check the fee details on your HyroTrader dashboard before you trade there. Slippage is a real cost on thin altcoins: a market order in a small coin can fill noticeably away from the last price.
Funding
Perpetual futures on crypto exchanges also have funding payments between longs and shorts. If you hold positions for days, check on your dashboard how your route treats funding, and build it into your numbers. Funding can work for you or against you depending on which side of the market you hold.
Leverage: what the numbers really allow
HyroTrader's leverage ceilings look large:
- Up to 100x on Bybit USDT perpetuals, with lower limits on many pairs.
- Up to 150x on BTC and ETH on the BloFin route.
But three rules sit on top of the exchange leverage, and they matter much more:
- Combined open-position value must not exceed the initial balance. On a $50,000 account, all your open positions together can be worth at most $50,000 notional. Leverage only changes how much margin each position uses, not how big you can go.
- Total exposure or risk is capped at 25% of the initial balance.
- Realized loss on one position may not exceed 3% of the initial balance. On $50,000, that is $1,500.
There is also a special limit for low-cap coins: a position in one is capped at 5% of the initial balance including leverage. On a $50,000 account, that is $2,500 of notional, whatever leverage you pick.
So a $50,000 notional trade, like Example 2, is the largest single position a $50,000 account can carry, and only if nothing else is open. In practice most traders will run well below that. Our position size calculator helps you size from your stop distance instead of from the leverage slider.
Markets: what you can and cannot trade
HyroTrader is a pure crypto perpetuals firm. You can trade USDT perpetual futures, which means every USDT pair Bybit lists except EUR/USD. That comes to roughly 700 pairs, from BTC and ETH down to small altcoins.
| Product | Allowed? |
|---|---|
| USDT perpetual futures (about 700 pairs) | Yes |
| EUR/USD perpetual | No |
| Spot | No |
| USDC perpetuals | No |
| COIN-M futures | No |
| Options | No |
That list is wide for altcoin traders and useless for anyone who needs stock indices, metals or forex. If you want perps on more than crypto, look at the other firms on our perpetual prop firms hub.
Fees by trading style
To make this concrete, here are three typical traders on a $50,000 One-Step account using the Bybit route. The numbers are fees only, before slippage and funding.
The scalper
Fifteen round trips a day at $20,000 notional, all with market orders. Each round trip costs 0.11% of $20,000, which is $22.00. Fifteen of them cost $330 a day. Over the minimum 5 trading days that is $1,650, a third of the $5,000 target. Switching entries to limit orders (maker in, taker out) brings each round trip to $15.00 and the day to $225. This trader should treat order type as part of the strategy, not an afterthought.
The intraday trader
Four round trips a day at $25,000 notional, entries with limit orders and exits with market orders. Each round trip costs $5.00 plus $13.75, so $18.75. Four of them cost $75 a day. Fees matter, but they are not the main risk. The daily drawdown and the 3% per-position cap are.
The swing trader
Two positions a week at $15,000 notional each, held for several days, maker orders on both sides. Each round trip costs $6.00. The fee bill is tiny. For this trader the bigger questions are funding over the holding period and the trailing daily drawdown on open profit, which is why some swing traders pay for the static Swing daily model at checkout.
Cost 3: rule mistakes
The most expensive cost at any prop firm is a failed account. At HyroTrader the rules most likely to cost you money are:
- The trailing, equity-based drawdown. On the Standard daily model, the daily limit trails your intraday equity peak. Open profit that you give back counts.
- The 40% profit distribution rule. No single trading day may be above 40% of the profit target. On a $50,000 One-Step account that is $2,000.
- Inactivity. No trade in 30 days and the account fails.
- Banned methods. Martingale, opposite trades across accounts, news-only strategies, copy trading and signal mirroring are not allowed.
What getting paid costs
Once funded, you start on an 80% profit split, with a published path to 90%. Payouts are on demand when eligible, in USDT or USDC, with processing advertised at about 12–24 hours. HyroTrader charges no payout fee, and the minimum payout is $100 after the split. Each request is capped at 5% of the initial balance, and profit above that 5% that is not withdrawn is not paid. On a $50,000 funded account, one request can be at most $2,500. Plan your withdrawals around that cap.
A simple cost plan
- Pick the account size whose fee you can afford to lose.
- Count how many round trips you usually make in a day and multiply by your typical notional and 0.11% (taker) or 0.04% (maker).
- Compare that daily fee bill with the daily drawdown in dollars.
- Use limit orders where your strategy allows it.
- Keep total notional well below the initial balance, and every stop well inside the 3% per-position cap.

Frequently asked questions
On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes, fees follow Bybit's VIP 0 rates for USDT perpetuals: 0.0200% maker and 0.0550% taker. The Hyro Platform applies realistic fees and slippage on live Bybit data.
With market orders on both sides, $27.50 in and $27.50 out, so $55.00. With limit orders that rest on the book on both sides, $10.00 each way, so $20.00.
Up to 100x on Bybit USDT perpetuals, depending on the pair, and up to 150x on BTC and ETH on the BloFin route. Combined open-position value must still stay at or below the initial balance.
USDT perpetual futures only: all Bybit USDT pairs except EUR/USD, roughly 700 pairs. Spot, USDC perpetuals, COIN-M futures and options are not allowed.
By credit card or crypto: BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, DOGE, LTC, DAI, BCH, APE and SHIB, plus Polygon payments in MATIC, USDC and ETH.
