Yes, on the evidence we can check, HyroTrader is a legitimate crypto prop firm. It has operated since 2022, names its CEO (Samuel Drnda) and its legal entities, publishes detailed rules, and runs a documented on-demand payout process in USDT and USDC. Prop Firm Bridge rates it 84/100, PFB Verified. Legit does not mean easy, though: the rules are technical, funded accounts are simulated, and a rule breach ends the account. Here is the full checklist so you can judge for yourself.
Key takeaways
- Operating since 2022, with a named CEO and two named legal entities.
- Rules for both programs are published in detail: targets, drawdowns, risk caps, banned strategies.
- Payouts on demand when eligible, in USDT or USDC, processing advertised at about 12–24 hours, no HyroTrader payout fee.
- Our score: 84/100, PFB Verified.
- Main risks: a trailing, equity-based drawdown, a 40% profit distribution rule, a 5% cap per payout request and strict banned-strategy rules.

1. Who runs HyroTrader
A legitimate firm tells you who you are trading with. HyroTrader names two legal entities. HYRO TECHNOLOGIES FZ-LLC is the service provider for the challenges. HYROTRADER TECHNOLOGIES LTD covers the funded phase. The CEO is Samuel Drnda.
Why two entities? Many prop firms separate the company that sells evaluations from the company that runs funded accounts and pays rewards. It is not a red flag by itself, but it does mean you should read which entity your agreement is with at each stage. When you sign the funded agreement, check the entity name on it matches what the site says.
2. How long it has been around
HyroTrader was founded in 2022. In crypto prop trading that counts as a real history. Many crypto prop firms launched in the last year or two, and some closed just as fast. A firm that has run through several market cycles, including sharp crypto sell-offs, has shown it can keep operating when traders are both winning and losing.
3. Are the rules written down clearly?
Yes, and in detail. That is one of the strongest signs. Here is the core rulebook:
| Rule | One-Step | Two-Step |
|---|---|---|
| Profit target | 10% | 10% (Phase 1), 5% (Phase 2) |
| Daily limit | 4% daily drawdown | 5% daily loss |
| Maximum limit | 6% max drawdown | 10% max loss |
| Minimum trading days | 5 | 5 per phase (10 in total) |
| Consistency | No day above 40% of the profit target | No day above 40% of the profit target |
| Drawdown type | Trailing, equity based | Trailing, equity based |
On top of that sit the risk caps: realized loss on one position can be at most 3% of the initial balance, total exposure is capped at 25% of the initial balance, combined open-position value cannot exceed the initial balance, and low-cap coins are limited to 5% of the initial balance including leverage. The daily drawdown has two models: Standard trails your intraday equity peak, while Swing (a paid upgrade at checkout) is static.
Banned strategies are also listed: martingale, hedging or opposite trades across accounts, news-only strategies, account sharing, exploitative or high-speed techniques, and copy trading, mirroring or third-party signals. News trading itself is allowed, as are weekend and overnight holds and bots, scripts or AI agents running your own strategy. An account with no trade in 30 days fails.
A firm that hides behind vague rules can refuse a payout for almost any reason. A firm that writes rules this specifically is giving you a fair chance to follow them. The flip side: you are expected to know every one of them.
4. How payouts work
This is the question behind most "is it legit" searches. Here is HyroTrader's published payout workflow:
- Once funded and eligible, you request a payout on demand. There is no fixed payout calendar.
- You choose USDT or USDC.
- Processing is advertised at about 12–24 hours, within 24 hours.
- HyroTrader charges no payout fee. The minimum is $100 after the split.
- You keep 80% of profit to start, with a published path to 90%.
The limit to know: each payout request is capped at 5% of the initial balance, and profit above that 5% that is not withdrawn is not paid. On a $100,000 funded account, one request can be at most $5,000. If you run up a big month, plan to withdraw regularly rather than letting profit pile up.
Remember too that funded accounts are simulated. You trade simulated capital and HyroTrader pays rewards from its own funds under its agreement. That is how almost every modern prop firm works, but it means your payout depends on following the agreement, not on owning money at an exchange.
5. Restricted countries
A firm that takes everyone, from everywhere, is often a firm that has not thought about compliance. HyroTrader publishes a list of 23 restricted countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Myanmar, Central African Republic, Cuba, DR Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe. In Ukraine, only the Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions are restricted.
If you live in one of these places, do not buy a challenge. A payout request from a restricted country is likely to be refused, and it would be fair for the firm to refuse it.
6. Our verdict and rating breakdown
Prop Firm Bridge scores HyroTrader 84/100 with the verdict PFB Verified (Trusted). The four ratings behind the score:
| Area | Rating (out of 5) |
|---|---|
| Customer care | 4.2 |
| Payout process | 4.2 |
| User friendliness | 4.1 |
| Trading conditions | 4.3 |
Trading conditions is the highest of the four, which fits what traders get: around 700 USDT perpetual pairs, several platform routes and leverage up to 100x on Bybit perps (150x on BTC and ETH via BloFin). User friendliness is the lowest, which matches our main criticism: the rule stack takes real effort to learn. You can see how each area is weighed on our methodology page.
7. The honest risks
A legit firm can still be the wrong firm for you. These are the points we would want a friend to know before buying:
- Trailing, equity-based drawdown. Floating profit you give back counts against you. On the Standard daily model the limit trails your intraday equity peak.
- The 40% profit distribution rule. One huge day cannot carry the whole target. Traders who make most of their money on a few big trend days will find this hard.
- Minimum trading days. 5 on One-Step and 10 in total on Two-Step. You cannot pass in a day.
- The 5% payout cap. Big funded months cannot all be withdrawn in one request.
- Crypto perps only. No spot, options, USDC perps or COIN-M futures, and no forex or indices.
- Simulated trading. The exchange routes use connected demo accounts. Results depend on the firm's simulation and its agreement.
8. How to verify HyroTrader yourself
Do not take any review site's word as final, including ours. Spend twenty minutes on these steps before you pay:
- Open HyroTrader's own site and read the rules page for the exact program and size you want.
- Check the legal entity names in the terms against the ones listed above.
- Check your country is not on the restricted list.
- Read the payout section: method, minimum, the 5% cap and the profit split.
- Read real traders' experiences on our HyroTrader trader reviews page, good and bad.
- Ask support one specific question about your strategy (bots, news trading, holding over weekends) and keep the written answer.
- Start with a size whose fee you can afford to lose. Two-Step starts at $59 for $5,000; One-Step at $69.
9. Who HyroTrader suits, and who should skip it
Being legit and being a good fit are two different questions. In our experience the traders who do well at HyroTrader share a few habits.
Good fit
- You already trade crypto perpetuals and know how funding, leverage and liquidation work.
- You size small and steady, so no single day dominates your results. That makes the 40% rule easy to live with.
- You like trading on Bybit, BloFin or Tealstreet and want a prop account in a familiar interface.
- You run your own bot or script and want a firm that allows it.
Probably not a fit
- You want to trade forex, indices or metals as well as crypto.
- You make most of your money on a few huge days and give back a lot of open profit along the way. The trailing equity drawdown and the consistency rule will fight you.
- You want to pass in one or two sessions. The minimum trading days rule out that approach.
- You plan to copy someone else's signals. That is banned.
If you are in the second group, nothing about HyroTrader is dishonest, it simply was not built for you. Compare it with other firms on our crypto prop firms list before you decide.
Bottom line
HyroTrader passes the checks that separate real firms from fly-by-night ones: years of operation, named people and entities, written rules and a clear payout process. Its weak points are about difficulty, not honesty: technical drawdown rules, a consistency limit and a per-request payout cap. If your trading fits those rules, it is one of the stronger crypto perps firms we cover. For the full picture, read our HyroTrader review.
Rules checked on HyroTrader's own site, October 2026. Firms change rules; Prop Firm Bridge's rule changes tracker shows every change.
