HyroTrader lets you trade its challenges through several routes: its own Hyro Platform, a connected Bybit account, a connected BloFin account, or Tealstreet (Tiger.com is also listed as a route). All of them trade USDT perpetual futures, and on every route the execution is simulated, so the real differences are where the market data comes from, how much leverage you can use, and how fees are applied. If you want the shortest answer: pick the route whose interface you already know, then check the leverage and fee setup before your first trade.
Key takeaways
- Every HyroTrader route trades USDT perpetual futures only, roughly 700 pairs from Bybit's USDT list (EUR/USD excluded).
- Execution is simulated on all routes. Market data comes from Bybit on the Hyro Platform and Tealstreet, and from connected Bybit or BloFin demo accounts on the exchange routes.
- Leverage goes up to 100x on Bybit USDT perps (limits vary by pair) and up to 150x on BTC and ETH on the BloFin route.
- On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes, fees follow Bybit's VIP 0 rates for USDT perps: 0.0200% maker and 0.0550% taker. The Hyro Platform applies realistic fees and slippage on live Bybit data.
- The account rules are the same whichever route you pick: drawdown limits, the 3% per-position loss cap and the 40% profit distribution rule all still apply.
Why the route matters at all
Most prop firms give you one terminal and that is it. HyroTrader is different because it is built around crypto exchange tools. Traders who already spend their day on Bybit or BloFin can keep the same order ticket, the same chart layout and the same hotkeys. Traders who prefer a dedicated prop interface can use the Hyro Platform instead.
That choice sounds cosmetic, but it is not. The route decides your leverage ceiling, your fee model and how your fills are produced. A scalper paying taker fees on every entry feels those details every day. A swing trader holding a few positions for days barely notices them. So the right route depends on how you trade, not on which logo looks better.
One point needs to be clear before we go further. HyroTrader's funded accounts are simulated. Even on the exchange routes you trade a connected demo account, not your own real money on the exchange. Your payout comes from HyroTrader under its rules, not from the exchange.
The routes side by side
| Route | Market data | Execution | Max leverage | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hyro Platform | Live Bybit data | Simulated, with realistic fees and slippage applied | Follows Bybit USDT perp limits (up to 100x, varies by pair) | Realistic fees and slippage modelled by the platform |
| Bybit (connected account) | Connected Bybit demo account | Simulated | Up to 100x, varies by pair | Bybit VIP 0: maker 0.0200%, taker 0.0550% |
| BloFin (connected account) | Connected BloFin demo account | Simulated | Up to 150x on BTC and ETH | Check the route's fee setup on your dashboard before trading |
| Tealstreet | Bybit data | Simulated | Follows Bybit USDT perp limits (up to 100x, varies by pair) | Bybit VIP 0: maker 0.0200%, taker 0.0550% |
Tiger.com is also listed by HyroTrader as an available route. We have no separate data on its fees or leverage in our records, so check it on HyroTrader's own site before choosing it.
Hyro Platform: the in-house option
The Hyro Platform is HyroTrader's own trading interface. It runs on live Bybit market data, so the prices you see match what Bybit traders see. Because the trading is simulated, the platform applies realistic fees and slippage to your orders. That is a good thing for honest results: a model that ignores slippage would make scalping look easier than it really is.
Who it suits
- Traders new to crypto exchanges who do not want to learn Bybit or BloFin first.
- Traders who want everything about the challenge (balance, drawdown, rules) in one place.
- Swing and intraday traders who place a handful of orders a day and care more about clean charts than about exchange-specific order types.
Watch out for
Slippage modelling works both ways. If you trade thin altcoins with market orders, expect fills that are worse than the last price on the chart. That is realistic, and it is exactly what would happen on a real exchange, but it can surprise traders coming from forex prop firms with fixed spreads.
Bybit route: for traders who already live on Bybit
The Bybit route connects a Bybit demo account to your challenge. You trade in the Bybit interface you already know. Fees follow Bybit's VIP 0 tier for USDT perpetuals: 0.0200% for maker orders and 0.0550% for taker orders. Leverage goes up to 100x on USDT perps, though each pair has its own limit.
Who it suits
- Experienced Bybit users who want their usual order types, layouts and shortcuts.
- Traders who want fees they can calculate exactly from a published rate.
- Traders using their own bots or scripts. HyroTrader allows bots, scripts and AI agents as long as the strategy is your own.
Watch out for
The Bybit interface will happily let you open more than the prop account rules allow. Bybit does not know about HyroTrader's 3% per-position loss cap, the 25% total risk cap, or the rule that combined open-position value must not exceed your initial balance. You have to track those yourself.
BloFin route: the highest leverage on majors
The BloFin route connects a BloFin demo account. Its stand-out feature is leverage: up to 150x on BTC and ETH, compared with up to 100x on Bybit USDT perps. Our records do not list a separate maker and taker rate for this route, so look at the fee setup on your HyroTrader dashboard before you size anything.
Who it suits
- Traders who already use BloFin and like its interface.
- Traders who want to post less margin per position on BTC and ETH.
Watch out for
More leverage does not mean more allowed risk. On every route, combined open-position value must not exceed your initial balance. On a $50,000 account that means the total size of all your open positions is capped at $50,000, whether you use 5x or 150x. High leverage only changes how much margin each position ties up. Your real risk limits are still the drawdown rules and the 3% per-position loss cap.
Tealstreet: a pro terminal on Bybit data
Tealstreet is a third-party crypto trading terminal. On HyroTrader it uses Bybit data, and fees follow the same Bybit VIP 0 rates: 0.0200% maker, 0.0550% taker. Leverage follows the Bybit USDT perp limits.
Who it suits
- Active scalpers and intraday traders who want fast order entry and a dense layout.
- Traders who already use Tealstreet on their own exchange accounts.
Watch out for
A fast terminal makes it easy to overtrade. Taker fees on every quick entry and exit add up quickly, as the fee example below shows.
What the fee rates mean in dollars
On the Bybit and Tealstreet routes the maths is simple. Take a $10,000 notional position opened and closed with market orders. Each side costs 0.0550% of $10,000, which is $5.50. The round trip costs $11.00. If you open and close with limit orders that rest on the book, each side costs 0.0200%, or $2.00, so the round trip is $4.00.
| $10,000 notional round trip | Entry | Exit | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taker in, taker out | $5.50 | $5.50 | $11.00 |
| Maker in, taker out | $2.00 | $5.50 | $7.50 |
| Maker in, maker out | $2.00 | $2.00 | $4.00 |
Ten taker round trips a day at that size cost $110. On a $10,000 One-Step account the daily drawdown is 4%, or $400, so a busy day of market orders can quietly use more than a quarter of your daily room before any trade loses money. Scalpers should lean on limit orders where they can.
Which route should you pick?
Here is how we would choose, as traders who have run crypto perps accounts for years:
- You trade on Bybit today: use the Bybit route. Same interface, published fees, no learning curve.
- You trade on BloFin today, or you want the most leverage on BTC and ETH: use the BloFin route, and confirm its fees on the dashboard first.
- You scalp and want a pro terminal: Tealstreet, with limit orders wherever possible.
- You are new to crypto exchanges, or you want one simple screen: the Hyro Platform.
Whatever you pick, the rules do not change. One-Step accounts have a 10% target, 4% daily drawdown and 6% maximum drawdown. Two-Step accounts have a 10% then 5% target, 5% daily loss and 10% maximum loss. Both need at least 5 trading days per phase, and both apply the 40% profit distribution rule: no single trading day can make up more than 40% of the profit target. Drawdown is trailing and equity based, and on the Standard daily model it trails the intraday equity peak. A Swing model with a static daily drawdown is a paid upgrade at checkout.
What you cannot trade on any route
Spot trading, USDC-margined perpetuals, COIN-M futures and options are not allowed. Neither is EUR/USD, even though Bybit lists it. If your strategy depends on spot hedges or options, HyroTrader is not the right firm whatever route you use. For other crypto perps firms, see the perpetual prop firms hub.
Strategy rules that apply on every route
A few rules catch traders who move over from their own exchange accounts:
- Copy trading, mirroring and third-party signals are not allowed. Bots are fine only if the strategy is your own.
- Martingale, hedging across accounts and opposite trades are banned.
- News trading is allowed, but news-only strategies are not.
- Weekend and overnight holding is allowed.
- You must place at least one trade every 30 days or the account fails.
Bottom line
The HyroTrader route choice is mostly about comfort and cost. Bybit and Tealstreet give you published fee rates, BloFin gives you the most leverage on majors, and the Hyro Platform gives newer traders one clean screen with realistic fills. None of them changes the rulebook, and none of them turns simulated trading into real exchange trading. Pick the interface you already know, model your fees, and size from the drawdown limits, not from the leverage slider.
