HyroTrader and Breakout Prop are two of the strongest crypto perpetuals prop firms in 2026, but they are built for different traders. Breakout has the simpler rulebook: static maximum drawdown, no minimum days, no consistency rule and no trailing drawdown, plus perps on indices, silver and oil. HyroTrader offers about 700 USDT perpetual pairs, a Two-Step program with wider loss limits, and trading through Bybit, BloFin, Tealstreet or its own platform. Prop Firm Bridge ranks Breakout #1 in crypto (91/100); HyroTrader scores 84/100, and the right pick depends on how you trade.
Key takeaways
- Breakout: one-step only, 3% daily limit, static maximum drawdown (6%, 5% or 3% by plan), no minimum days, no consistency rule.
- HyroTrader: One-Step (4% daily, 6% max) or Two-Step (5% daily, 10% max), trailing equity-based drawdown, 5 minimum days per phase, 40% profit distribution rule.
- Markets: HyroTrader has about 700 USDT crypto perps. Breakout has crypto plus Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, silver and oil perps, priced from Hyperliquid.
- $100K list prices: HyroTrader $749 (One-Step) or $579 (Two-Step); Breakout $800 (Classic), $545 (Pro) or $330 (Turbo).
- Both pay on demand in stablecoins with an 80% starting split and a route to 90%.
The two firms in one paragraph each
HyroTrader has run since 2022 under CEO Samuel Drnda. It is a crypto-only firm trading USDT perpetual futures, about 700 pairs from Bybit's list (EUR/USD excluded). You can trade through its own Hyro Platform, a connected Bybit or BloFin account, Tealstreet or Tiger.com. Execution is simulated. Prop Firm Bridge scores it 84/100, PFB Verified.
Breakout Prop is part of Kraken. Its perpetuals are priced from Hyperliquid and traded in Breakout's own terminal, 24/7. Besides crypto, it offers perps on the Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, silver and oil. It runs three one-step plans: Classic, Pro and Turbo. We rank it #1 among crypto prop firms.
Rules compared
| Rule | HyroTrader One-Step | HyroTrader Two-Step | Breakout Classic | Breakout Pro | Breakout Turbo |

Drawdown: the biggest difference
This is where the two firms really part ways. Breakout's maximum drawdown is static. If you start a $100K Classic account, your floor is 6% below the starting balance and it stays there. It never moves up with your profit.
HyroTrader's drawdown is trailing and equity based. On the Standard daily model, the daily limit trails your intraday equity peak, so open profit you give back counts against you. HyroTrader offers a static Swing daily model as a paid upgrade at checkout, which helps swing traders, but the core design still punishes big open-profit swings more than Breakout does.
On the other hand, look at the raw percentages. HyroTrader's daily limit is 4% (One-Step) or 5% (Two-Step), against 3% on every Breakout plan. And HyroTrader Two-Step gives 10% maximum loss, the widest of any plan in this table. A trader with a calm equity curve but deeper normal drawdowns may find HyroTrader Two-Step has more room than any Breakout plan.
Consistency and minimum days
Breakout has neither. You can pass in one session if the market gives you the move. HyroTrader needs at least 5 trading days per phase and applies the 40% profit distribution rule: no single trading day can be more than 40% of the profit target. On a $100K One-Step account the target is $10,000, so no day can count for more than $4,000.
For a trader who makes steady money every day, this barely matters. For a trader who waits for one big trend day, it matters a lot.
Time limits
Breakout has no time limit. HyroTrader's only clock is inactivity: the account fails if you do not trade at least once every 30 days.
Markets and platforms
| HyroTrader | Breakout Prop | |
|---|---|---|
| Instruments | About 700 USDT perpetual pairs (crypto only) | Crypto perps plus Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, silver and oil |
| Price source | Bybit data, or connected Bybit/BloFin demo accounts | Hyperliquid |
| Platforms | Hyro Platform, Bybit, BloFin, Tealstreet, Tiger.com | Breakout terminal |
| Max leverage | Up to 100x on Bybit perps (varies by pair); up to 150x BTC/ETH on BloFin | Check Breakout's site for the plan you choose |
| Trading hours | 24/7 crypto, weekend and overnight holds allowed | 24/7 |
If you trade altcoins, HyroTrader's list of around 700 pairs is a real advantage. If you want to trade a Nasdaq or oil move in the same account as BTC, only Breakout does that here. If you want to stay in the Bybit or BloFin interface you already know, only HyroTrader does that.
HyroTrader also lists clear fees for its Bybit and Tealstreet routes: Bybit's VIP 0 rates of 0.0200% maker and 0.0550% taker on USDT perps.
Payouts compared
| HyroTrader | Breakout Prop | |
|---|---|---|
| When | On demand when eligible | On demand after funded, no waiting period |
| Currency | USDT or USDC | USDC |
| Profit split | 80% start, published path to 90% | 80%, 90% as a paid upgrade at checkout |
| Processing | About 12–24 hours advertised | Check Breakout's terms |
| Limits | $100 minimum after split; each request capped at 5% of initial balance | Check Breakout's terms |
The point to watch at HyroTrader is the per-request cap: at most 5% of the initial balance per payout, and profit above that cap that is not withdrawn is not paid. On a $100K account that is $5,000 per request. At Breakout, the split works differently: you start at 80% and the 90% split is something you choose and pay for at checkout.
$100K list prices
| Plan | $100K list price | Target | Max drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| HyroTrader One-Step | $749 | 10% | 6% trailing |
| HyroTrader Two-Step | $579 | 10% then 5% | 10% trailing |
| Breakout Classic | $800 | 10% | 6% static |
| Breakout Pro | $545 | 12% | 5% static |
| Breakout Turbo | $330 | 9% | 3% static |
Price alone is misleading. Breakout Turbo is the cheapest $100K account by far, but its 3% static maximum drawdown is tight: $3,000 of total room on $100K. HyroTrader Two-Step costs $579 and gives $10,000 of maximum loss room, though it trails and you must pass twice. Classic and HyroTrader One-Step share the same 10% target and 6% maximum, and here HyroTrader is $51 cheaper at list price, while Breakout's floor is static and has no minimum days or consistency rule.
Three traders, two firms
Rules are easier to judge with real situations. Here are three $100K examples.
The trend-day trader
She makes $6,000 on one strong BTC day, then small amounts after that. At Breakout Classic, the $6,000 simply counts toward the $10,000 target, and she can pass as soon as she reaches it, with no minimum days. At HyroTrader One-Step, the 40% profit distribution rule caps any one day at $4,000 of the $10,000 target, so that $6,000 day is above the limit. She would need more profitable days before passing, and at least 5 trading days in total. Breakout fits her better.
The open-profit swing trader
He holds an ETH position that floats up $3,000 during the day, then closes it at a $500 gain. At Breakout, the maximum drawdown floor stays fixed at $94,000 on a Classic account, whatever his open profit did. At HyroTrader on the Standard daily model, the daily limit trails his intraday equity peak. If his equity peaked at $103,000, the 4% daily room is measured from that peak, so he has given back $2,500 of it. He can live with that once, but the trailing model punishes this habit. The static Swing model, a paid upgrade at checkout, exists for exactly this trader.
The altcoin trader
He trades small-cap coins on Bybit and moves between dozens of pairs a week. HyroTrader lists about 700 USDT pairs and lets him stay in the Bybit interface. He must respect the low-cap rule, which limits a low-cap coin position to 5% of the initial balance including leverage, so $5,000 of notional on $100K. Even so, HyroTrader is the more natural home for him, because breadth of altcoins is its strength.
Who should pick which
Pick Breakout Prop if
- You want the simplest possible rules: static floor, no minimum days, no consistency limit.
- You make most of your profit on a few big days.
- You want indices, silver or oil perps alongside crypto.
- You are happy with a 3% daily limit and trade with tight risk.
Pick HyroTrader if
- You trade altcoins and want around 700 USDT pairs.
- You want to trade inside Bybit, BloFin or Tealstreet.
- You need more daily room (4% or 5%) or a wider 10% maximum on Two-Step.
- Your daily results are steady, so the 40% rule and 5 minimum days are no problem.
- You want the option of being paid in USDT as well as USDC.
The fair verdict
Both firms are serious businesses with clear rules. We rank Breakout first because its rulebook is simpler and harder to trip over by accident. HyroTrader scores 84/100, and for some traders, especially altcoin traders who live on Bybit, it is the better choice. Neither is a shortcut: both use simulated funded accounts, and both will close an account that breaks a rule. Run your last few months of trades through each rulebook before you decide. Our compare tool puts the two side by side, and our perpetual prop firms hub covers every perps firm we track. For the full HyroTrader picture, read our HyroTrader review.
