How much cheaper is 2 Step than 1 Step?

The 2 Step is cheaper, but it asks you to pass two phases. Whether the saving is worth the extra phase depends on the targets, so look at them next.

What do the targets and loss limits look like?

As stated on the coupon page, all four programmes have a 10% daily loss limit, an end-of-day trailing maximum loss based on equity, at least 5 trading days, a 90% profit split and payouts on demand. The percentages that differ:

In dollars on the $10,000 account: the 1 Step Standard target is $4,500, the 2 Step Standard target is $3,000, the daily loss limit is $1,000 and the maximum loss is $2,500 on Standard and $2,000 on Elite. The coupon page lists the dollar figures for every size.

My experience: I read the maximum loss before the fee. On Elite the limit is 5 points tighter than on Standard, and that is what you are really choosing when you pay $19.50 to $195 more.

Which is cheaper per $1,000 of capital?

The cheapest per $1,000 is the 2 Step Standard $100K at $6.62. The price per $1,000 falls with size on all four, so a bigger account is better value per dollar of capital, but it is not a reason to buy bigger than you can afford to fail.

How much does each $100 of loss room cost?

The maximum loss is 25% on Standard and 20% on Elite. Dividing the BRIDGE price by the maximum loss in hundreds of dollars gives the price per $100 of loss room:

Standard gives more loss room per dollar than Elite at every size, and 2 Step more than 1 Step.

Which one should you buy?

• Lowest fee: 2 Step Standard. It is the cheapest at every size and has the lowest profit target (30%).
• One phase only: 1 Step Standard. You pay $7.80 to $78 more, and the target is 45%.
• Elite: a tighter maximum loss (20%) and higher fee. Only choose it if the Elite rules suit you.
