Building discipline and managing emotions when a stop loss hits is one of the hardest hurdles in trading. Anger usually stems from risking too much per trade or viewing a loss as a personal failure rather than a normal business expense. To protect your psychology, lower your risk per trade so a single loss barely affects your mindset. As for trade frequency, neither 3-4 trades a day nor 3-4 trades a week is universally better—it depends entirely on your edge and personality. Many prop firm traders prefer lower frequency (3-4 high-quality setups a week) to reduce overtrading and avoid breaching daily loss limits. When trading funded accounts, managing drawdown is critical, and overtrading often leads to emotional revenge trading. What matters most is sticking to a well-tested plan.
