Gold offers fast moves and high R:R, but spread spikes and slippage can be brutal on prop firm accounts. Do you prefer trading XAUUSD or sticking to major FX pairs like EURUSD/GBPUSD for evaluation challenges?
In terms of my opinion I prefer xauusd because I was In the market at least 4 years and 3 of them I trading EU and GU but there is no progress after that i start trading gold and I saw a lot of changes about my win rate and phycology
Gold's liquidity and volatility are the features loved by prop traders, just is like a double edge sword. you can scale fast and die faster. FX is slow.
