Quick answer: FundedNext Futures accounts run on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView (through its Tradovate integration), with Tradovate as the data feed. You trade CME Group futures (equity index, FX, metals, energy, grains, livestock). Contract limits are fixed per account: 2 / 4 / 6 minis on Rapid $25K / $50K / $100K, 3 / 5 / 8 minis on Flex $50K / $100K / $150K and 3 minis on Direct, with 10 micros counting as 1 mini. All trades must be flat by 3:10 PM CT; the session reopens at 5:00 PM CT. Read on FundedNext's help centre on 21 October 2026.
The rules of a futures prop account are only half of what decides your day. The other half is practical: which platform you log in to, how many contracts the account lets you hold, what a tick is worth and when the session forces you flat. This guide covers that practical half for FundedNext Futures, using the firm's own help centre for every number.
If you are still choosing an account, read FundedNext Futures Flex vs Rapid vs Direct first. Prices for every size with code BRIDGE are on our FundedNext Futures coupon page.
Which platforms can I use with FundedNext Futures?
| Platform | Type | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Tradovate | FundedNext's main platform and data feed | DOM trading and built-in risk settings |
| NinjaTrader | Separate platform login | SuperDOM chart trading |
| TradingView | Through the Tradovate integration | Charting first, trading from the chart |
FundedNext's Direct Account rules name "Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView (via integration)"; its platform FAQ has guides for all three.
How do I log in for the first time?
FundedNext's first-login guide sets out the steps:
- Open the "Futures" section of your FundedNext dashboard and click "Dashboard" under your account.
- Click "View" next to your credentials and copy the username and master password.
- Click the "Tradovate" button and log in on Tradovate Web on a desktop. The first login and agreement signing are not supported on mobile.
- Fill in the contact form, choose Non-professional in the market data certification, sign the subscriber agreements with your name exactly as shown, accept the licence and pick "Access Simulation".
- Log out and back in once market data is assigned, and you are ready.
Can I use an EA or a bot?
Yes. FundedNext's Futures FAQ allows automated systems on both the challenge and the funded account, but gives no support for setting them up, and bans strategies that exploit the system, such as latency abuse or order flooding. VPN and VPS are allowed too, though repeated inconsistent IP activity can lead to a request for documents.
Contract limits by model and size
| Model | Size | Max minis | Max micros | Same when funded? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rapid Pro / Daily | $25K | 2 | 20 | Yes |
| Rapid Pro / Daily | $50K | 4 | 40 | Yes |
| Rapid Pro / Daily | $100K | 6 | 60 | Yes |
| Flex | $50K | 3 | 30 | Yes |
| Flex | $100K | 5 | 50 | Yes |
| Flex | $150K | 8 | 80 | Yes |
| Direct | $50K | 3 | 30 | Funded from the start |
Source: FundedNext's Rapid, Flex and Direct pages and contract limits article, read 21 October 2026.
Can I mix minis and micros?
Yes, at 1 mini = 10 micros. On a $50K Flex (3 minis) you could hold 2 minis and 10 micros, or 30 micros, but not 3 minis and 5 micros.
What happens if I go over the contract limit?
The account is not closed for it. Only the excess contracts count as violated: any profit from them is deducted, while any loss from them still counts against you. In other words, going over can only hurt you.
Does the limit grow as I make profit?
No. FundedNext says the limit is fixed when the account is created and does not increase with profit, on the challenge and on the funded account.
What one tick costs: the numbers that size your trades
FundedNext's contract article lists these tick values. On ES, MES, NQ and MNQ one point is four ticks; on YM and MYM one point is one tick.
| Contract | Symbol | Tick size | Tick value | Value of 1 point |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E-mini S&P 500 | ES | 0.25 | $12.50 | $50 |
| Micro E-mini S&P 500 | MES | 0.25 | $1.25 | $5 |
| E-mini Nasdaq-100 | NQ | 0.25 | $5.00 | $20 |
| Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 | MNQ | 0.25 | $0.50 | $2 |
| E-mini Dow | YM | 1 | $5.00 | $5 |
| Micro E-mini Dow | MYM | 1 | $0.50 | $0.50 |
| Micro Gold | MGC | 0.10 | $1.00 | $10 per $1 move |
Why this matters for your loss limit
Take a $50K Flex with a $1,500 maximum loss. A 10-point stop on 3 ES contracts risks $1,500, the whole account in one trade. The same stop on 3 MES risks $150, a tenth of the account. The contract limit tells you what you may hold; the loss limit tells you what you can afford. Our position size calculator does this sum for any stop and contract.
What can I trade at FundedNext Futures?
Our record of the firm, checked against its own pages, lists CME Group exchanges (CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX) and these product groups: equity index, FX, metals, energy, grains and agriculture, and livestock. Futures codes follow root + month + year: FundedNext's own example is GCM5, gold expiring June 2025, and MGCM5 for the micro (symbol guide). FundedNext recommends trading the front-month contract for the best liquidity.
Is there any margin requirement?
No. FundedNext says margin does not apply on the challenge or the funded account; trading is controlled by contract limits instead, and you do not deposit your own funds.
Trading hours and the 3:10 PM CT rule
| Event | Central Time (CT) | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Session opens | 5:00 PM | New trading day starts (Sunday 5:00 PM after the weekend) |
| Flat deadline | 3:10 PM | All positions must be closed; open trades are closed automatically |
| End-of-day update | 5:00 PM | Maximum loss limit trails to the new end-of-day balance |
From FundedNext's trading hours article and loss limit article, read 21 October 2026.
Can I hold a trade overnight or over the weekend?
No, on any FundedNext Futures model. The automatic close at 3:10 PM CT means you cannot accidentally hold, but FundedNext warns not to keep forcing orders after the close, because some may still go through and breach the account.
What about holidays?
FundedNext announces holiday hours in advance. On an early close, close your own trades, because the automatic close may not apply unless you are told it will.
Can I trade the 5:00 PM open?
Yes, but FundedNext advises against trading thin, illiquid hours because of slippage and partial fills. Any trade in those hours is at your own risk.
Other practical limits worth knowing
- News trading is allowed; stops may slip in fast markets.
- Micro-scalping: trades held under 10 seconds that make 40% or more of a cycle's profit have that profit deducted.
- Trading near limits: trading within 2% of CME price limits is on FundedNext's prohibited list.
- Inactivity: 30 calendar days without a trade breaches a challenge or funded account; 7 days on Direct.
- Accounts: up to $750,000 of challenges at once; up to 5 active funded accounts per user and household.
Every one of these rules is tracked nightly; if FundedNext changes a limit, it appears on our prop firm rule changes tracker. The full rule list we hold is on the FundedNext Futures Firm Details tab, and our FundedNext Futures rules guide explains drawdown and consistency in dollars.
Saving on the account with code BRIDGE
BRIDGE is the exclusive FundedNext Futures code Prop Firm Bridge brings to traders. It is independently verified: Akash Mane, founder of Prop Firm Bridge, tested it by hand at FundedNext Futures' own checkout on 21 October 2026. It changes the price, never the platform, contract limit or hours. On Rapid Daily $100K our offer sheet reads "$219.99 off for traders with no prior FundedNext Futures purchase" ($199.99 off for returning buyers); on Flex $50K, "$64 off for all customers". See every FundedNext Futures account price with BRIDGE, checked daily.
Prop Firm Bridge may earn a commission from FundedNext Futures when you use code BRIDGE, at no extra cost to you. The code only lowers your price.
My experience: on a new FundedNext Futures account the first thing I do is set a manual daily loss in Tradovate's risk settings and trade micros for the first week. The contract limit is generous compared with the loss room, and that is exactly where new accounts get hurt.
