Quick answer: FundedNext sells four CFD models. Stellar 1-Step is one phase with a 10% target, 3% daily loss and 6% maximum loss. Stellar 2-Step has two phases (8% then 5%) with roomier limits: 5% daily and 10% maximum. Stellar Lite is the cheaper two-phase route (8% then 4%, 4% daily, 8% maximum). Stellar Instant has no challenge at all, but uses a 6% trailing loss limit. Most traders who are new to FundedNext do best on 2-Step, because it gives the most room to be wrong.
Every number in this guide comes from FundedNext's own help centre, read on 21 October 2026. If you just want the price of each account with the code applied, our FundedNext coupon page lists every size, checked daily.
The four FundedNext models at a glance
All four models trade the same markets on the same platforms. What changes is how you get funded, how much loss room you get, and how fast you can take rewards. Here is the short version.
| Model | Sizes | Profit target | Daily loss | Max loss | Min days |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stellar 1-Step | $6K to $200K | 10% | 3% | 6% (static) | 2 days |
| Stellar 2-Step | $6K to $200K | 8% then 5% | 5% | 10% (static) | 5 days per phase |
| Stellar Lite | $5K to $200K | 8% then 4% | 4% | 8% (static) | 2 days per phase* |
| Stellar Instant | $2K to $20K | None | None | 6% trailing | None |
*For Stellar Lite accounts bought or reset from 12 October 2026. Older Lite accounts keep 5 days per phase. We log changes like this on the prop firm rule changes tracker so you can see when a firm moves a rule.
None of the evaluation models has a time limit. FundedNext's guides say it plainly: there is no time limit, take as long as you need.
What "static" and "trailing" mean here
On the three evaluation models, the maximum loss is measured from your initial balance and never moves. On a $100K Stellar 2-Step, your balance or equity must stay above $90,000. Make $8,000 and the floor is still $90,000.
Stellar Instant is different. Its 6% floor moves up when you make profit. FundedNext's own example: on a $10,000 Instant account the floor starts at $9,400, and when the balance reaches $10,200 the floor rises to $9,600. It stops rising once it reaches the starting balance, and losses never pull it down.
Stellar 1-Step: fastest route, tightest limits
Stellar 1-Step is one phase. Hit 10%, trade on at least 2 separate days, keep daily loss under 3% and total loss under 6%, and you get a FundedNext Account.
Who 1-Step suits
1-Step suits a trader who already has a tested strategy with small, controlled losses. The 3% daily limit is the tightest of the four models. On a $50K account that is $1,500 in a day, and swaps and commission count toward it.
The ratio matters more than the headline. You need 10% profit while never losing 6%. That is a target that is bigger than your whole loss room. On 2-Step, the first target (8%) is smaller than the loss room (10%).
How 1-Step pays once funded
- Reward cycles are 5 business days, starting from your first trade on the FundedNext Account.
- Your first reward is available at the end of the first cycle if you are in profit.
- Reward share is 80% for accounts bought from 12 January 2026, 90% after Scale-Up, and 95% with the Lifetime Reward 95% add-on.
- The challenge fee comes back as a Refundable Fee with your third Performance Reward (for accounts bought on or after 12 January 2026).
Leverage and cost on 1-Step
Forex leverage on 1-Step is 1:30, indices 1:10, commodities 1:15 in the challenge and 1:10 when funded, crypto 1:1 and stocks 1:2. Forex commission is $5 per lot, charged once when the trade opens. Lower leverage is not a problem for most traders, but scalpers who use big lot sizes on small accounts can hit margin limits faster.
My take: 1-Step is a good fit if you want the quickest path and the fastest reward cycle. It is a poor fit if your normal losing day is bigger than 3%.
Stellar 2-Step: the most room to be wrong
Stellar 2-Step is the classic route: 8% in Phase 1, 5% in Phase 2, 5% daily loss, 10% maximum loss, and at least 5 trading days in each phase. Reaching the target early does not remove the 5-day minimum.
Why 2-Step is the safer pick for most traders
Look at the dollars on a $100K account. Phase 1 needs $8,000 of profit. You can lose up to $10,000 in total and $5,000 in a day. Phase 2 needs only $5,000. The loss room is bigger than the target in both phases. That gives you space for a bad week.
The three payout options on 2-Step
When you buy a 2-Step, you choose a payout option at checkout, and FundedNext says it cannot be changed later:
| Option | How it works | Reward share |
|---|---|---|
| 21-Day cycle (standard) | First cycle 21 days, then every 14 days | 80% (90% after Scale-Up) |
| 3 Profitable Day | 3 profitable days per cycle, each at least 1% of the account | 60% |
| On-Demand | At least 2% growth; best single day no more than 40% of total profit | 90% |
The Lifetime Reward 95% add-on lifts any option to 95%. There is also a Bi-Weekly Reward add-on that skips the first 21-day cycle so you can request every 14 days.
Refund and the 15% challenge reward
On 2-Step the fee is refunded with your first Performance Reward. On top of that, 1-Step and 2-Step traders can earn a 15% reward based on the challenge profit target once they reach Scale-Up eligibility (US traders are not eligible). Our FundedNext scale-up guide explains how that works.
My take: if you are not sure which model to buy, buy 2-Step. Most challenge failures are loss-limit breaches, and 2-Step gives the most loss room per dollar of target.
Stellar Lite: cheaper two-phase route
Stellar Lite is a lighter two-phase model: 8% then 4%, a 4% daily limit and an 8% maximum loss. It is the cheapest way into a FundedNext two-phase account, and its sizes start at $5K.
What changed on Lite in October 2026
FundedNext's Lite guide now lists two changes for accounts bought or reset from 12 October 2026:
- Minimum days: 2 separate days per phase (it was 5).
- Reward cycle: a 10-business-day cycle (older accounts: first payout after 21 days, then every 14 days).
Lite also offers the 3 Profitable Day option (60%) and On-Demand (90%), the same as 2-Step. The fee comes back with your third Performance Reward. A paid add-on raises the maximum loss from 8% to 10%.
Where Lite is weaker
- Lite is capped at $200,000 of funded allocation.
- Lite is not part of the FundedNext Pro Scale-Up Program. It follows the regular scale-up process.
- Forex commission is $7 per lot on Lite, against $5 on 1-Step and 2-Step.
My take: Lite is a sensible first account if budget is the main concern. If you trade a lot of forex lots, do the commission maths first: $2 extra per lot adds up over a month.
Stellar Instant: funded on day one, with a moving floor
Stellar Instant skips the challenge. There is no profit target, no daily loss limit, no minimum days and no consistency rule. Sizes are $2K, $5K, $10K and $20K, and you can hold up to $20,000 of active Instant allocation at a time.
The trailing 6% is the whole story
The trailing floor is what makes Instant harder than it looks. On a $10,000 account you start with $600 of room. If you go up $200 and then give it back, your room is now $400, not $600. The floor stops at the starting balance, so once you are up 6% the account effectively has a fixed floor at $10,000.
How Instant pays
- On-demand once the account reaches 5% growth (checked at end of day), or every 14 days from at least 1% growth.
- Reward share is 70% in Tiers 1 and 2 and 80% from Tier 3.
- The purchase price is never refunded. A reset costs 10% less than the original price and is not refundable either.
- Accounts can scale tier by tier up to $2,000,000.
My take: Instant is for traders who hate evaluations and are confident in tight risk from the first trade. For most people, a 2-Step that refunds its fee is the better value.
Side-by-side: rewards, refunds and scale-up
| Model | Reward timing | Base share | Fee refund | Scale-up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step | Every 5 business days | 80% | With 3rd reward | Pro program, 25% steps to $4M |
| 2-Step | 21 days, then 14 (or 3-day / On-Demand) | 80% (60% / 90% options) | With 1st reward | Pro program, 25% steps to $4M |
| Lite | 10 business days (new accounts) | 80% (60% / 90% options) | With 3rd reward | Regular plan, 40% steps |
| Instant | On-demand at 5% or 14 days from 1% | 70%, 80% from Tier 3 | Never | Tiers up to $2M |

Rules that apply to every funded model
Whatever you buy, these FundedNext Account rules apply once you are funded:
- 3% risk limit: your open risk (based on stop-loss placement plus realised and floating losses) must not pass 3% of the initial balance at any time. A second breach drops the account to 1% for good.
- News rule: on 1-Step, 2-Step and Lite FundedNext Accounts, trades opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a listed high-impact event on a related pair count only 40% of their profit. Losses count in full. Stellar Instant follows the same 40% rule. Challenge accounts are not affected.
- Quick Strike: profit from trades closed within 30 seconds must stay below 30% of your profit.
- Inactivity: 30 calendar days without a trade and the account is deactivated.
We put all of these into dollars for every size in the FundedNext rules that fail traders.
Which FundedNext model should you buy?
Pick 2-Step if…
You are new to FundedNext, you have losing streaks of 3 to 5 trades, or you hold trades for hours or days. It has the most loss room and refunds the fee with the first reward.
Pick 1-Step if…
Your daily losses are small and predictable, and you want rewards every 5 business days. Keep risk per trade low: the 3% daily limit leaves little room for a second bad trade in the same day.
Pick Lite if…
Budget is tight and you want a two-phase route. Accept the $200K cap, the $7 forex commission and the third-reward refund.
Pick Instant if…
You want to trade a funded account today and can live with a 6% trailing floor and no refund.
Once you have picked, compare the exact numbers per size on the FundedNext challenges tab, and read the full FundedNext review for our 89/100 score breakdown. If you are still choosing between firms, our FundedNext vs The5ers comparison lines the rules up side by side.
Paying less for the account you pick
Whichever model you choose, FundedNext code BRIDGE lowers the price at checkout. It is independently verified: Akash Mane, founder of Prop Firm Bridge, tested it by hand at FundedNext's own checkout on 21 October 2026. That day the Stellar 2-Step $6K went from $39.99 to $19.99 and the Stellar 1-Step $6K from $49.99 to $33.99, while larger sizes such as the 2-Step $100K showed 7% off ($549.99 to $511.49). The starter-size offer works for returning buyers too (up to five uses), while the 7% on other sizes is for new FundedNext customers. The code changes the price only, never the rules. See today's FundedNext discount code price for every size.

Frequently asked questions
For most traders it is Stellar 2-Step. Its targets (8% then 5%) are smaller than its 10% maximum loss, and its 5% daily limit is the widest of the evaluation models. Stellar 1-Step needs 10% while never losing 6%.
2-Step has 8% and 5% targets, a 5% daily limit and 10% maximum loss, with the fee refunded on the first reward. Lite has 8% and 4% targets, a 4% daily limit and 8% maximum loss, costs less, refunds the fee on the third reward and is capped at $200,000 of funded allocation.
No. Stellar Instant has no daily loss limit, no profit target and no minimum days, but it uses a 6% trailing maximum loss that rises with profit and stops at the starting balance.
At least 2 separate calendar days with at least one trade each. There is no time limit. A No Minimum Trading Days add-on is sold on the $6K, $15K and $25K sizes.
No. On Stellar 2-Step and Lite, the payout option (standard cycle, 3 Profitable Day or On-Demand) is chosen at checkout and FundedNext says it cannot be changed later.
Yes, BRIDGE. It is independently verified: Akash Mane, founder of Prop Firm Bridge, tested it by hand at FundedNext's own checkout on 21 October 2026 (Stellar 2-Step $6K $39.99 to $19.99).
